Same here. My iPhone 4 works good all the way from 6.0, 6.0.1, until 6.0.2. After updating to iOS 6.1 the Internet connection is frustratingly slow. The issue is pretty noticeable. Now iOS 6.1.2 doesn't correct the issue whatsoever.
I'm using Optus in Australia btw.
I have the same problem in Brazil with iPhone 5. Using iOS 6.1.2 have no solution. Only we are left waiting for a new update. Disappointing!
I have serious problems with my new iphone 5 using iOS 6.1.2 at Dominican Republic with Orange, i can´t use the wifi option and the bluethoot keep searching all the time!!!
France: iPhone4, worked fine until 6.1.2. Now, no 3G and very reduced battery life. I'm going to try to go back to 6.1.1 which worked perfectly.
As on date, there is no tool available to roll back. Apple does not permit either.
iOS 6 was primarily targeted at A5 and higher iDevices.
In that case, Apple should not have allowed the iPhone 4 to update.
If I have to jailbreak, I'll probably sell the phone instead and buy something different, like a Samsung. I like the iPhone 4, but it's not great with no 3G. My wife's 3GS is fine on 6.1.1.
Does anyone know if Apple cares about those of us who have problems with this version?
Maybe the local Apple Store will fix it, I'm sure they can.

I'm terribly sorry about jailbreaking, I didn't know because I spent the time getting here to get a rather expensive product working. I hope 6.1.3 fixed our problem (it seems to be limited to Europe?). I could swear that I updated to 6.1.1 but I guess it must have been 6.1.0, again, the time to keep that straight isn't what we want when we pay top dollar for luxury products.
It is fine. All of us are Apple Products users like you. Trying to help each other to use the products efficiently.
None of us represent Apple. 😀
That's good because at the moment I'm not happy with Apple and I believe they don't care unless a lot of noise is made. This problem is restricted to a small number of users who are made to feel like basically, the phone isn't working. We're at the mercy of Apple until the next update, and the worst part is we now have to wonder "what will this one break?".
Apple isn't alone in this, it happe,ns to a lot of companies, like Amazon and Google. This is precisely why I do not buy the luxury aspect of Apple products and I hope someday Android will get a lot better. Right now I like it less than iOS. That could change anytime.
To share my experience today, I went to the store. Two employees took the time to look at the phone, but neither came up with anything new except resetting the network settings - good idea, hadn't tried it, but no joy. What's odd is that neigher had heard of the problem.
I will make an appointment with the "Genius" next week and see if that person can do something about it.
If that doesn't work I'm stuck until a fix or a new phone.
I did the same thing last week... They sent it to the geniuses of Greece and they replaced my iPhone 5 with a new one... I restored it from my personal iCloud backup and YES there is the same problem like my old device!!!!! What is going wrong??? Is that the carrier?? Is that the hardware??? Is that the software??? No one knows!!! I hope with the next software update the problem will be solved!!!
I made an appointment for the genius bar, but literally two hours before the appointment, the 3G began working for the first time since the upgarde to 6.1.2!
For a reason I can't be certain of, 3G has returned and battery life is back to what it was before the upgrade.
It's possible that the resetting of network parameters yesterday in the Apple Store, which didn't appear to work then, somehow kicked in after a few reboots and Airplane Mode toggles.
This is weird but also interesting... I also did the same as you... Resetting network settings, reboots but still there is a problem... And I don't know the reason.... I will be waiting till next iOS update or next carrier's Internet profile update ...
