I was mistaken previously. I went from 20+ hours on a full charge to about 8. Same usage, same settings. Only different is the 6.1.2. This started with 6.1.1 and has only gotten worse. I have only had this phone since September of last year so I doubt it is a problem with my battery. I have reported to Apple, but they are being slow on this response. Do they actually look at these forums?

Didnt disscus about a jailbreak only said witch app has been used to see it, the main issue is battery drain and maybe the memory is working to hard for nothing and draining the battery unnessecery.

and asked if other people saw the memory being less than normal

like right now only running whatsapp in the background and now typing in safari and the free memory is 36mb thats not normal for only 2 apps!!!

PS: i dont jb to pirate or something its only for theming purpose only and little small helpful tools witch are free and helpful 😝

BUt ill quit talking about it

SOrry for bad english, comming from the netherlands

YOu are right and i apoligize for mention it here, but still the memory is being hardcore used by unnessecery things, visible or not. And THAT may cause to battery drain, and a few posts back someone stated that the email app wont quit en uses to much 3g data, that maybe explains the memory drain witch lead to battery drain witch lead to angry users of a I device with a screwed battery life

HAhahahahaha okok so most of the people on this forum has jailbroken there phone?

SO far i know everyone on ios6 has these problems jailbroken or not!, so dont come with unreasenable judgements, i am awere that theming can couse to battery drain but since ios 6 i dont use them anymore because it actually drains the battery so without them it still persist and many users without jb are facing the same issues!

the only way to fix this is that apple recode the software so that is works properly together and working synced like ios is suposed to be!

Why? Mine is working just fine and millions of others are working fine too. Just a few hundred maybe are not working or a little more than that but also there could be a bad app that is draining the battery and the app maker just hasn't recoded their app to work properly with 6.1.2 yet. Remember that every time an update to the os comes out, developers should be coming out with updates that actually work properly with the new version of the os. Happens with every OS out there and iOS is not alone in that respect.

Dude really? a few hundred? Try thousands based on searches of forums and messages posted around the internets.

Even if it 1 person, Apple HAS REFUSED TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE.

Maybe you missed my post from before.

I have setup my 4S as a new phone. Installed no apps. None.

No services are setup The phone can only make calls.

Still the battery is draining 10-15% per hour.

So what say you now? Are my Apple Apps on the phone (default ones I did not install) causing this?

Ok even if it was 10,000 which I highly doubt, there have been over 10,000,000 sold. That isn't even 0.001 percent of the phones out there. That means 99.999 of the phones are good. So don't give me that crap that there is a big problem. The biggest problem is usually a rouge app that hasn't been updated to the latest version of iOS. Give me a break on the crap about it being a big deal because I have been on these forums for a long time and haven't seen it but from a few hundred people maybe and the external forums are usually the same ones that complain here.
