you are a level one newbe user and you call me a troll. I gave some advice and told the guy his phone was jailbroken and that he should not be discussing it here because it is against the TOS. Also it has been proven again and again that jailbreaking your phone invites viruses and other attacks on your phone that can also cause the battery to drain. Every time a new version of iOS comes out these threads follow yet most are fixed by simple yet effective cures. Most don't even bother to do a forum search first and insist on posting a new thread. That to me is lazy. So you need to run away now and stop talking about something you know nothing about.

And did you reset the phone after you restored it with no apps? Also did you try turning off services like has been suggested in many other threads that you probably didn't bother to search for instead of getting on a new thread. Most of the folks that help here avoid these threads now because boneheads like you and the OP don't bother to actually search the forum for advice before posting.

You were not giving advice and you know it. You were being rude and pretending that you know everything. Also I don't really care that I am a level one. What does that prove? That I don't run around in forums talking about everything like you do?

Also I do not have a jailbroken phone. I have a real issue here and you coming on here and fighting with everyone about their jailbroken phones is not doing anything. Your phone works. Great. Happy for ya.

Oh and yes I have done all of that. I even set up my phone as a new phone, reset everything, turned off services and all the hundreds of other things that other people have suggested in other forums. I still have a batter life of 8 hours now and that is with minimal usage. All of this started with 6.1.1 and has continued to 6.1.2. Just because I am a "level one" does not mean that I don't know anything about my product or what to do.

3-4 bars is a good signal but not the best so the radio may be on higher power than if in an excellent signal area. Do this and tell me what the number says where the bars are usually located.

Go into your phone and bring up the dial pad.

Type *3001#12345#* and then hit call button.

You should get field test and the number in the top left corner shows the db of the signal.

Lower number is better. Usually -60 db is almost perfect signal. I get -75 here at work most of the time. At around -120 to -130 you get 1 bar of service. -90 is not good but about in the middle for a signal on the phone. That means the transmitter is turned to a higher power just to maintain a link with the cell tower. That in turn uses more battery than normal.
