IOS 6.1.2 decreased cellular data connection

Upgrade to ios 6.1.2 is a nightmare: cellular data no longer available.

Tried all possibilities: network restore, full ipad restore, etc. none are working.

The upgrade supposed to solve previous problems but created bigger problems ! What is Apple doing ???

i am also having the same problem. updated to ios 6.1.2 from 6.0.1 and lost 3G. pls fix it ASAP. cellular connection work fine but looses at times. I have been a greatest fan of APPLE and i am afraid to say I cannot expect such blunders from APPLE , common..

Have you tried calling Apple Tech Support?

If anyone is having any problems and they purchased Apples 2 year Protection Plan, then I would suggest, of course, the obvious approach of calling Apple Tech in regards to the multitude of problems related to the latest IOS release. I haven't read every post and calling Apple is probably the first thing everyone has tried. I may have missed the posts where this is the topic.

It would be helpful if anyone who has called in to Apple Support regarding any of these issues would post back in this thread, anything Apple may have stated or suggested to do about the problems I am reading about. I am sure that this has been posted, but I thought I would throw this idea back out there again, just in case.

There is also Express Lane that anyone can use if they don't want to call Apple.

I have the data access issue on i5 after updating to 6.1.2. The only way the retail store could correct it was replacing the phone, which worked until I did the ios software update. Called apple at 1-800-694-7466 and they had me erase and reset everything. Still no data network. He did say there was no way to go back to the previous version of ios6. He suggested calling the service provider as they MUST have something set wrong on there end. Called Straight Talk, did a reprogram and the data network is working now. Strange, all this was done before but failed.

Can you pls tell us what did you do to get you device work!!

Apple had me go to settings, general, reset, erase all content and settings.

Straight Talk had me re-activate it by calling *22890.

I still I have IOS 6.1.2 and I have fear of upgrading to iOS 6.1.3, I do not trust apple 😠

It seems to make it worse. on both my iPhone 5 and my iPad, either I am perpetually in 3G or LTE is showing, but the connectivity is spotty at best. I have tried the hard reboot and the network reset to no avail. Hopefully a fix will be out for this soon. It is very annoying.

Dears...i really face the same problem of 3g connection after update to IOS 6.1.2. i have iphone 4s locked on verizon...call signal is ok as well as wifi, the problem is in 3g and i tried to do my best to solve that. i contacted the service provider in the telecomunications head offices but unfortunately the problem is in the updated IOS...i will be thankful for anyone has solution for the problem
