Yes, many do. I don't.
Not many that I know of. I think more recent users of Apple products; mainly those whose first devices were an iPhone or an iPad find it "comfortable". Pretty much any long time computer user, Mac or Windows, don't think much of it.

After ungrading to Mountian Lion, my first impression of Launchpad was negative. I've been a Mac user since 1994 and wasn't particularly enthused about the idea of "converting" my Macbook Pro to and iOS device. I, now, find myself using it more and more. My dock still remains as my primary access point for more frequently used applications. I'll access lesser used items via Lauchpad. The three-finger pinch makes for quick and easy access.

That's a good point. If you have a tablet, then it's very similar to the iPad and relatively easy to use. With only a mouse and keyboard, it's too clumsy to be useful.
