Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
This must be my day for asking questions. I'm using FCPX 10.0.7 and Compressor 4. When I use FCPX to send a project to Compressor to be rendered, and the FCPX project has chapter markers, the rendered file is missing the chapter markers. I'm rendering to Apple Devices 720p, if that helps.
Am I missing something, or is this really the way it works right now?

OK, I *think* I've found the issue. It's repeatable, but I'll wait for someone else to confirm. It appears that if I set Audio to "None" in the Compressor setting I use, then I don't get chapters. I could see this kind of bug happening, because Audio is a separate track (as are chapters), so perhaps the program is mistakenly thinking that if there's no audio, all it has to do is write the video track.
BTW, I'm setting Audio to None because I'm working on silent movies. I case anyone wondered.

Silence isn't the factor.
No sound but chapters, but what it has done is lost the chapter names. Strange this also happens when you take chapters to iDVD. Chapters had the correct names with sound, but no names without sound.
Well, not setting Audio to None solved the issue for my projects, so I guess that's good enough for now. Why it produced different results for you is a mystery.

I have found that Apple applications and iOS devices behave strangely if there is no chapter on the first frame of the movie.
FCPX -> Compressor 4 loses chapter markers?
