How do I restrict websites from me... the administrator?
In the parental control setings, it doesn't allow me to restrict things from me! How do I get around this?
Simple.
Create another Admin user in System Preferences, now log out and into this Admin user account.
Set your first Admin (you) to Standard User account.
Set your Parental Controls. Log out and into your regular Standard User account.
If you have to move programs in/out of the Applicaitons folder (rarely) you will have to enter your Admin account name and password. Also you have to manually check for updates.
If you really only want to block a few sites, Firefox has a add-on called Block Site.
You also could add
0.0.0.0 www.thissitehere.com
to the bottom of your
/etc/hosts
file opened with the free TextWrangler directly (no app store version) from BareBones Software.
If your on 10.8 you will likely have to set System Preferences > Security > General > downloads "AnyWhere" to avoid Gatekeeper nonsense.
see the result here

0.0.0.0 www.facebook.com
0.0.0.0 www.facebook.net
0.0.0.0 www.sailthru.com
Facebook and Sailthru are effectively blocked.
If you want to block a range of content sites, like adult content, there really isn't a surefire way.
All the honest sites gets blocked leaving the malware laden new ones that isn't on the block list recieiving your click and infection.
