A question about my Macbook Air's battery life...

I just purchased this Mac a couple of days go and, I haven't found any information to answer my question...

If I keep my Macbook Air (2012 model) on AC Power will it over charge the battery, or harm it in any way?

Because I know that my iPhone 4 has special charging instructions...like letting the battery drain completely until it shuts off, every 30 days. I found that on the apple support website very easily, not so much information on Macbook Airs though.

Anyway...That's basically all I wanted to ask...

Thank you to anyone who answers! 😀

Welcome to the world of Macs!

You can keep your MBA plugged in as long as you wish, it will not overcharge as the system will automatically stop charging once the battery is full. All you really need to do is run it on batttery at least once a month down to about 40% to keep the electrons in the battery moving, then recharge. Do not run it down to 0% as this will cause problems in the long run. But most of all, don't stress out about the battery and just enjoy your new Mac!

Cheers!
