I was wondering if keeping my laptop plugged in all the time a bad thing for the battery life. I keep it plugged in often when I am using it, so I kind of need to know. Thanks in advance!

Mine is plugged in when near an outlet, but used on battery down to 40% at least once a month.
Currently 19 months old, 35 cycles. 101% design capacity on battery.
I forgot to mension this part of my post:
I often need to connect to my laptop at my school, but I do not want to take my laptop, so I keep it pluged in so my iPad can connect to in (from logmein). Did not know if this would effect my computer also.
If you mean you leave the MBP plugged in at home as if it were a base-station while you are at school, then it is the same thing. Leave it plugged in, but be sure to use it on battery down to 40% at least once a month in the evenings.
yes I wondered about that. I just did not know if it would over heat my computer. It is only like 2 months old. thanks!
MBPs are designed to shut themselves down if they get too hot. Keep it on a hard surface and do not block the are around it to allow air flow.
