How do I get my 5th gen ipod touch out of recovery mode?

My ipod 5th gen is stuck on recovery mode loop after itunes upgraded to 6.1.2. The screen is just the itunes symbol with the usb. & everytime I connect it to itunes it tells me that my ipod is in recovery mode & that I must restore. When I click restore it says I have to restore & upgrade. Then it begins it begins to download iPod Software Upgrade, but it's done this several times and my ipod stays in recovery mode and repeats the same thing over again. Please help.

Maybe:

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.

Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
