how do I change my alternative apple-ID

But that doesn't change the alternate apple id. I want to get rid of it or at least change it.

This will blow your mind, For my Apple Alternate Email, I have a @Yahoo.com, the information in front of the @ is NOT my Apple ID, it's just one of my Yahoo addresses.. I would like to change it.. Any ideas??

Go into Manage your Apple ID, sign in with your Apple ID and password, then click on the "Edit" button next to your Alternate email address, change it and verify it:

HI , How can I change my alternate email address which was wrongly spelled? I forgot the answers to my security questions and now it is sending an email to that email. Hope you can help. thanks

So after an hour on the phone with apple support it turns out that if your alternate ID was made with an apple email address you cant delete it or edit it. My daughter added her apple ID set up with a @me.com address and now all my products call me by her name. It's incredibly frustrating. I've had my apple ID for a very long time and don't want to lose everything to a new one just because Apple wont let me remove the alternate ID. I dont even care that it's there but share my location and just about everything else refer to me by her name even though it's the ALTERNATE not the primary on the account. This is a serious deficiency in the programming at apple.

There isn't an edit button next to the alternate ID info..

My alternate Apple ID is the apple ID of my son. I have no idea how this has happened but it's causing no end of conflicting issues form not being able to imessage each other to now not being able to tap communicate on our iWatches. There seems to be no way to fix this.

im still using the previous owner's apple id on my iphone 4s icloud and itunes, i have my own apple id but when i sign out the old apple id and log in using my updated apple id, it wont allow me my phone shows "REACHED THE MAXIMUM FREE APPLE ID ALLOWED FOR THIS PHONE"

Simply delete the old ID.

You can set up your iCloud account on any other iOS device (that has not reached the maximum), or on a Mac. Once it is set up, sign it off of the device/Mac you set it up on, and sign it on to your iPhone.
