recover photos from photostream?

I lost my iPhone and had some pictures from it synced to photostream before it was lost. However, when I got my new phone, I accidently deleted one of them from photostream. Is there a way to recover the photo? Since it was technically on iCloud/photo stream at one point (just deleted it by accident today), shouldn't there be a way to get it back?

You can't recover deleted photo stream photos. Your only option would be to restore another iOS device from the backup of your lost phone. The backup would contain camera roll photos.

I assumed that you did when your post said "I accidentally deleted one of them from photo stream." At any rate, your only option is to either restore another iOS device from your last backup, which should recover your camera roll photos, or sync your computer with your iCloud account and turn on photo stream. This will only recover photo stream photos added during the last 30 days as photos older than 30 days are removed from photo stream. If you want to sync your computer with your iCloud account this guide will explain how: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/.

Tutorial: How to Recover Deleted Photos from Photo Stream

1.iTunes backup scanning

Your last iTunes backups (iPhone, iPad, iPod) will be scanned and display in the columns. From whichever iOS device your photos are deleted, left click the device name and "StartScan".

2.Restore your photos from photo stream

You will see Photo Stream is listed among all the iPhone files which are extracted from iTunes backup. Click photo steam then you can preview all the thumbnails. Select the deleted photos then "Recovery".

Done! Your deleted photos have been recovered to local folder. You can also recover all the photos to keep backup in your PC if you wish to. Backup your iPhone data regularly to prevent losing any important information.

If you didn't back it up or extract it to your computer in between the time you created it and the time you deleted it, it is gone. Permanently. There is no "undo".

If you have the backup data then you can recover the deleted photos in iPhone. For recover deleted photos follow the below steps.

Steps to follow to recover deleted photos from iPhone:

1. First of all turn on the iPhone.

2. After turn on locate the backup application where you got stored.

3. So,open it by double tap on it.

4. Now find and go to the photos folders.

5. Here select the photos which you want to recover.

6. After selecting tap the options and click the restore option.

Thank you.

My phone was stolen while I'm travelling in paris.....

I don't think my iCloud is switch on, however I can remember in my iphone photo library, there is a album called : photo stream, each time I have wifi connection, i noticed the latest photos I have taken are added to the photo stream.

I have never try to access the photo stream before, hence no idea how it works.

But now it is extremely important to me as I have taken lots of photos during my trip and the memories are lost! Feeling upset, can anyone tell me any chance of recovering or accessing photos from the photo stream???

Million thanks!

You shouldn't try to sign into your account in Settings>iCoud on someone else's iPad or you risk their data will be merged with yours, or being replaced by yours.

If you mean you are trying to sign into your account on icloud.com using an iPad, you can't. You can only go to icloud.com from a computer browser.
