So for my first project in numbers, I wanted to create a spreadsheet of all my contacts. I read the manual, watched a video tutorial, and tried just about everything I could think of, but I am un successful with dragging and dropping the contacts into a blank template. Can anyone help?

I'm having the same issue. I just recenly got a new Mac but I haven't done any data transfers to it yet. Could it be possible that because my husband is also setup as an admin user on my computer that it won't allow me to access my contacts data in Numbers? Did you ever get a resolution to this? I want to start doing holiday cards and I just don't have the kind of time to handwrite all of the envelopes! Any help would be appreciated.

Your new Numbers and Pages apps (iWork '13) don't have any merge capability.
If you have access to iWork '09, you can use that. Or, you can try the Avery Mac Label App.
