NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT 256 or Radeon X800 XT

Please let me know how each of these graphics card compare to each other.

You also can't choose between these two cards for your machine; the 7800GT is a PCI-Express card, and the X800XT is an AGP card. These two standards are incompatible with each other.

If you have a dual-core G5, the 7800GT can be added when customizing the order. It cannot be ordered separately (not without paying a fortune for it).

If your G5 pre-dates the dual-core G5s, the X800XT is the fastest option, provided you can't find a used GeForce 6800 Ultra or X850XT.

Thank you for the clarification. I have a dual 1.8 currently and I just upgraded to the Radeon Mac X800XT inorder to be able to use Aperture. Now I am looking at getting a second machine for editing and compositing,(Quad 2.5) and I wanted to know if I could use my Radeon 800XT card rather than paying to upgrade. You have answered my question. It will pay the extra to get the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT 256. Thanks.
