Slow running Macbook pro???

My new macbook pro has recently became really slow and has a constant noise coming from it that old laptops have when they are starting up. The green light beside the camera is also on all the time. Anyone know why and how I can get it back to normal?? 😟

That means that the camera is running when the green light is on. (Facetime, Skype)

I would reset the PRAM.

Power down the computer.

Press the power button

Hold Command, Option, P,R all at the same time.

This will speed up boot times.

Also make sure that you fully QUIT a program to minimize the CPU usage.

Also check for a SOFTWARE UPDATE

Also you could upgrade the ram in the computer.

It's important that you find out what process is using the camera, if you don't already know.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it:

lsof -Fc +D /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreMediaIO.framework/Resources/VDC.plugin

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).

Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.

Paste into the Terminal window (command-V).

Post any lines of output that appear below what you entered — the text, please, not a screenshot.
