By default PDF's get saved to iBooks if you have it. However Safari should have been able to Open it directly as well, unless it was say a Zip file with the PDF inside. Or some strange format that Safari could not handle.
As Demo points out, it saves to whichever App you have that can open it. If you have none, it does not get
saved.
Thanks Phil,
Have iBooks, did not save there. Must be due to web location (Skydrive) compatibility - although Safari on a Mac can open the file.
Also with Skydrive Mac Safari can utilize Office Web apps but not the iPad Safari. Same with interactive PDF forms.
Unfortunately, yes, Sky Drive files don't get correctly downloaded. For PDF's usually it will try to open it in its own online reader, but its not compatible with iPad for some reason. You can however download the SkyDrive App and download the file from in there by going to the twisted arrow at the bottom right corner and select "Open in Another App" to download it to the App of your choice.
The beauty of Skydrive is being able to edit office docs via their Web apps. However not an option with an iPad.
Does any one know of a free app or other method to edit, save THEN print or email an Excel doc or PDF interactive form?
