If this is an Ultraviolet movie as shown, then it's copy protected and cannot be converted to another format. Those movies can only be played on an iOS device through the Flixster app, which probably requires you to know the friend's account information. It's also probably illegal for your friend to have sent you that movie; it's almost certainly a copyright violation.

I'd suggest that if you want your son to be able to watch that movie, buy it from the iTunes Store, if it's available there.

Regards.

Its in my Facebook acct. plus if I download the Flixster on my computer, I'm able to download the movies to that program and my computer. Plus I'm gonna use the Disc to Digital (rips movies out of DVD, does NOT support blu-ray).......

It doesn't matter that it's your Facebook account. It only matters whose account was used to download the movie from the movie studio, and unless that was you, you probably do not have the credentials to play the movies, since again it can only be played in the Flixter app which, at least on my system, requires me to log into to play a movie.

If you're going to use the Disk-To-Digital service provided by Vudu/Walmart to convert a DVD, then the movie will be in your own account so you shouldn't have any problems downloading it and playing it in Flixster.

Thats true, but I'm allow to download it to my computer, I can get the Flixster app for my iTouch 4th gen (running iOS 6.1.1)..... the problem is that I can't get the app for my son because he has a 2nd gen itouch (running iOS 4.2.1)...... so I need to download it to my computer for my son.

Plus I managed to rip the movie: Castle In The Sky so that my son can watch on his iTouch.

Ultraviolet movies are copy protected and can only be played in the Flixter app. If you can't run the Flixster app on your son's iPod touch, he will not be able to watch that movie on that device and will have to watch it on your computer. We cannot discuss methods of breaking the copy protection on the Ultraviolet movies, necessary to convert the movie to another format, in these forums.

Sorry, but there's nothing more I can say on the subject.
