My brand new iMac is recording static whenever I use the internal Mic. There are no peripherals attached and it has only been a few days. This is the 21.5 base model. Can anyone help?

Hi, doesn't sound good, but I know of no way to check this, I think you'll hsve to call Apple.
No matter which mic I use I always encounter static on BOTH my iMacs (one is brand new).
Apple doesn't seem to know they have a real problem here.
I have a friend who has a new Mac Pro - same problem: all mics used result in tremendous static interference.
There is static recorded when I use my builtin microphone. This is a brand new iMac. Please help?
