How to remove Quota limit reached?

In my notes, everytime I edit a note, this notification pops up as "Quota - Quota limit reached." and then deletes the current note I'm editing. This is rather frustrating, because I do have some important notes and everytime I go to use it they get deleted after this notification pops up.

I did go through my notes and delete a bunch, but there are less that 15 notes and as you can see in the photo this account has 3 and I've definitely had way more in the past. Does the Quota extend to other applications as well?

Hopefully you have already figured this out, considering it's about three months later, but this is for those who are still having trouble with this:

What I literally JUST NOW figured out is that when it says "Quota Limit Reached," you need to get more iCloud memory. I had to delete one of my old backups, giving me about 2.7 GB more, and what do you know? I'm able to edit notes again with no problem. (So far anyway.) So either buy more storage, or delete an old backup. Hope I helped! <3

Yes. A ton of my notes got deleted, but no, I never got them back, in the sense that I found them somewhere. I'm afraid to say that once they're gone, they're gone. I'm sorry. :/ However one thing I've learned is that to make sure I don't lose any of them (at least not completely) I should send them to myself. I also make another copy of it in my notes and if I edit any of them I just copy and paste it yet again to the extra. It's a really good method and luckily a lot of the notes that were deleted were sent to my email so I had them saved for good. I am a writer sort of, so I write stories on my iPad or iPod since I don't have a computer at the moment, so it's really depressing when one gets deleted. I started doing it simply because they were randomly getting deleted even before the quota limit reached thing. I'd click on one and would be greeted by a blank screen, then when I would go back, it would be gone. So to make sure they don't get deleted, email them to yourself and make another copy! Hope I helped a bit. c:
