Image Still Cropped When Viewed Full Screen

Hi everyone. I am trying to figue out if there is any way in iBooks Author to have an image cropped(masked) in layout view, but then enable it to show the full unmasked and uncropeed image when tapped to be viewed full screen on the iPad.

I have a client that wants some image to only take up half a page vertically and have a widescreen type crop with text on the lower half of the page, but would like to see the full image when tapped on instead of the widescreen crop. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

One thing you can try as a work around is to use the Gallerty widget with only one image. It seems to have that functionality a little but is kida limited. You can't make it smaller than 279x242 for some reason. Don't mind the arrows at the bottom of the widget. If there is only one image they do not show in the preview.

I think it would be a great feature. They'd just need to add another check box in the interaction section that says "show orginal image" or "show full image". Then people could have like a crop of a person's face, from a portrait, in the layout and then when you touch it show the full portrait image.

If anyone has a better soution that would be great. Mine doesn't work for me since I'd like my image smaller.
