I don't understand this thread. Apple TV is saying my saved password is wrong but I can't find anything in settings re the main password to log in, only the air play password but that one is not required. I can't reset the password. Ecsuse I don't see where to do it.

Guys, I had the same problem as others who posted here. The problem here is that everyone is saying they couldn't find it in Settings and then they chime back in and say that the fixed it but THEY DONT DRSCRIBE HOW THEY FOUND IT
You need to access the settings icon, it will be listed as one of the options on the next screen.
All you need to do is turn off the password feature from the Apple TV and then turn it back on again, at that point you will be asked to re-enter a new password.

Ps, the thing is i lost my remote control, luckily a friend told me to download the remote control on ipad and i used that to reset the password in the Apple tv, just in case anyone need this tips in the furture....

SORRY - FOUND IT.
it say it is the passcode. it is the 4 digit one that you need to but things.
I can't find mine either, where did you find the AirPlay settings?
