Cannot select object sent to back

welcome to the Pages Discussions. Click near the border of your document outside of every text or object area (you can see this best by showing the layout guides with the menu item "View/Show Layout"). Now drag the mouse pointer from the margin over the object and release the mouse button. All objects inside of the "selection frame" are selected. If you do this a second time with the shift key pressed, you can deselect other objects you have unintentional selected the first time.

So try to "touch" with the selection frame only the one object you want to select.

as I know this is not documented in the Pages manual. I haven't read the manual (nor version 1 neither version 2) in it's entirety, and I think this is such kind of "feature" the developers are thinking of as a must known one. But in my opinion this counts only for users with experiences in (most) vector image editing and not for the casual/normal user who is just discovering the Pages universe.

But, as I use to write in such situations, for this kind of questions and other problems this wonderful discussion board exists 🙂

I think this issue is so important it should be in BOLD in a help manual. 🙂
