iphone 4s standby and usage time the same

Hello

I have an iPhone 4S. I charge it at 1.00 am and sleep. When I wake up 9.00 am in the morning, the phone has 8 hours stand by time, and 7 hours 58 minutes usage time. And its battery is about %70 but my father's iphone's battery is about %95 at same conditions.

So, the phone is using itself while I'm sleeping! Did anybody see a problem like this and solve?

I tried these :

- I reset network settings, after reset all settings.

- I restored the phone and set as new iphone.

- I thought that one app can cause the problem. So I didn't download any applications after the restore. The problem is still happening.

Thank you a lot.

Easy solution to this problem. There is something running in the background even if you quit all apps and restart phone. First I tried a full restore/reset and then restored all my data and apps from iCloud. This did not correct the problem. Obviously there was something within my apps/data that was still causing the problem.

So I did another full restore but then set up as a NEW phone and then added the apps back in separately, then music, photos and other data. Now the problem is fixed!

Ever since iOS7.0.6. and still on iOS7.1 both me and my wife had huge battery drain on our iPhone 4S and stand-by was equal to usage time. We finally found the solution to a post of another user on the Dutch Tweakers forum. There seem to be a bug within a certain Dutch coupon app called 'Scoupy' which drained the battery completely although GPS setting was turned of and also 'refresh on background' was off.

Scoupy said that a fix for their app is send for approval to the App Store. We removed the app and our usage/stand-by time is again as normal (higher stand-by time then usage time) and best of all a 'normal' battery use as it was the case on iOS7.0.4. I hope this could help someone. I'm wondering if the iBeacon changes in iOS7.0.6/7.1 together with a bug in the Scoupy app could be the cause? Maybe this is also with our similar apps you have on your phone.

Lots of good tips and I tried many of them and eventually found a solution. I had the problem of battery drain due to usage and standby time being identical. i.e. the phone was always 'in use'. This problem started when I upgraded to the latest IOS from Itunes.

If I turned off wi-fi and cellular and then restarted the phone the usage would be only 'actual' time used but as soon as I used wi-fi or cellular it would revert to 1:1 ration for usage and standby and if I turned off cellular or wi-fi it would remain at a 1:1 ration and only go back to actual usage if I restarted phone. Battery drain was fast and frustrating!

In the end the thing that worked for me was that I backed up the phone to ITunes and then re-set the phone and then restored phone from the back-up. I lost no info or data and now usage is actual time and I can have wi-fi or cellular on. I still have one app that seems to continue running when on standby but I just close that down and I am back to having a phone that doesn't need charging every half day!
