Aperture or Lightroom?

I am yet to take the plunge and just don't know whether to go for Aperture or Lightroom. I use a Canon 600d and shoot in RAW. Looking at most recent reviews of Aperture, I am nervous about taking the plunge. Any advice out there???

I too have been a long time Aperture user. The UI is much easier to use than LR and I like the integration. But over the years I have had corrupted libraries that took a long time to recover, and performance issues on larger libraries. I adopted the habit of a new library every 6 months, which is no more than 10,000 images. I broke my rule this year hoping Aperture had improved, but over the last 4 weeks I have had the beach ball for minutes at a time. So I'm going to give LR a try. I have a 2011 iMac with 8 Gb. Once you climb a bit of a learning curve LR's UI makes sense.
