Is there a typewriter effect in FCPX?

Hello everyone,

I was searching the web for any information, but I cannot find the typewriter effect in FCPX. I do not own motion yet, but I found one conversation in a forum where people discussed the fine tuning of the typewriter effect, so there is one, I thought. But maybe I am blind!!!

Please be so kind to tell me where it is.

ps: I also tried to use a stadard text and then configure typewriter style myself, but the build-in-effects do not offer popping in. and a typewriter doesn't slide in 🙂

I am not sure if it his you are looking for under the text effects there is Typewriter. Select all text effects and scroll down.

There is a title in FCP called Typewriter. Does that not do what you want?

I am sorry, if this is a dumb question, but I just have effects in FCPX, seperated in video and audio. Where can I find "text effects"?

Is this title in FCPX too? I am using the german version and there is nothing like this among the titles. Neither named typewriter, nor with the German title "Schreibmaschine".

Could you make a screenshot for me if you are talking about FCPX?

One option is to use Apple's Keynote app to do your typing effect. Create a Keynote project in the dimensions of your project and set the background to green. Then use it as a greenscreen (keyed) effect in FCPX.
