Just to clarify: the iPad can't connect to two separate BT devices of the same type. So, no, you can't connect to two BT speakers at once. However, you can connect to, say a BT speaker and a BT keyboard at the same time.
Just to add, it is a limit with Bluetooth and not a device limitiation.
