Unable to update Java, installation broken
Hi, so after the first Java update this year (Java for OS X 2013-001), I found out some of my Java applications wouldn't start, so I started googling around, tried all sorts of stuff, and probably deleted stuff I shouldn't have deleted from Java libraries, etc. Now, when I want to install an update (there has just been a new one, Java for OS X 2013-002), I get an error and the update fails:
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/JavaLaunching.framework/Versions/A/JavaLaunch ing
Referenced from: /System/Library/CoreServices/Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Installer
Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/JavaLaunching.framework/Versions/A/JavaL aunching: open() failed with errno=-22
Is there a way to somehow reinstall Java completely from scratch? I have tried an older update as well, and it fails in just the same way (OS X Update Combo 10.8.2). Thanks!
