Unable to update Java, installation broken

Hi, so after the first Java update this year (Java for OS X 2013-001), I found out some of my Java applications wouldn't start, so I started googling around, tried all sorts of stuff, and probably deleted stuff I shouldn't have deleted from Java libraries, etc. Now, when I want to install an update (there has just been a new one, Java for OS X 2013-002), I get an error and the update fails:

Dyld Error Message:

Library not loaded: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/JavaLaunching.framework/Versions/A/JavaLaunch ing

Referenced from: /System/Library/CoreServices/Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Installer

Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/JavaLaunching.framework/Versions/A/JavaL aunching: open() failed with errno=-22

Is there a way to somehow reinstall Java completely from scratch? I have tried an older update as well, and it fails in just the same way (OS X Update Combo 10.8.2). Thanks!

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Boot up holding command-r keys into your Recovery Volume.

The screen should give you these choices...

Restore from TM backup

Reinstall Mac OS X

Get help online

Disk Utility

First run Disk Utility Repair Disk, if you get errors run until no errors reported or reports "the disk cannot be fixed". Then, choose Reinstall OS X. This will be an install "in place" and shouldn't effect any of your own data or settings.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem with Java for Mac OS X 2013-002 upgrade but it returns error after trying to install saying "Not enough Memory".

I have more than 100Gb on my Hard Drive and my RAM is totally empty during the installation.

Have no idea whay this would happen.

When I check the Console messages,it says this:

3/6/13 10:22:05.799 AM Download Java Components[2569]: Java Install Error 105: The update could not be installed.

Could anyone please help me?

I have tons of applications needs to be run on Java and I'm totally stuck.

Thanks
