Uninstalling Skype, possible leftover?

Hi guys,

Quick one here: I decided to get rid of Skype and switch to another service. I've uninstalled Skype (bear in mind I'm an ex-PC user...) by dragging its icon to the trash and performing a Finder search for "Skype", including system files, deleted all related stuff. However, a "config.xml" file still shows up when I do the search. I can't remove it, nor open its containing folder, nothing at all... Seems like a corrupt file...

Looks like a bug? I would really like to get rid of it, as it seems to be Skype related, but as I can do nothing with it, I can't be sure.

Please refer to the screen captures.

Many thanks!

OK. So I just performed a search with EasyFind for "Skype" and all I got was:

"Skype_2013-03-05-131101_MacBook-Air-de-YEFA.hang"

I don't know what this is, can it be deleted? It's within the Logs folder, so I believe it would be no problem, but it would be great if somebody could confirm.

Regarding the other "config.xml", I am either doing it wrong, or it's not coming up (the only config.xml file found belongs to Flash Player, not Skype)

To add information as it seems like confusion is being generated. Config.xml file found by EasyFind is 146 bytes and is actually called "FPSAUConfig.xml", while the one that Finder is showing me is 7KB and is called "config.xml" so we're not talking about the same file. Finder shows me something, EasyFind something different...

I'm clear about the Flash file, I just want to know what is the 7KB file found by Finder, as I can't do ANYTHING with it.

Thanks all 🙂
