It wont work for me either. I haven't tried reinstalling it yet because I wanted to tell you about the problem first. When I click on iTunes or plug in my Nano it wont work and asks if I want to send an error repot. I tried clicking Run as... but all it came up with was that an unknown error had occured (-50). I don't know what this means. ITunes worked for me up until about a week ago- I can charge my Nano but I can't get into iTunes to update or add, etc. Please help! Thx.

Also- If I remember correctly I didn't instal quick time or anything else with iTunes (I'm pretty sure I already had it) but I don't run it with quick time anyway. I usually just click on the iTunes icon and it opens perfectly.

before trying the steps you described above, i thought i would tell you what my problem is just incase it is different from the one above.

my iPod nano recently stopped working because the hold button got stuck. So i went to the apple store and got it replaced. but as soon as i plugged the new ipod in and i clicked on itunes i got the error message: "iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes." So I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes many times but the popup still comes up. The only thing is that it didn't say anything about quicktime or anything like that.
