how much does it cost to clean macbook pro 13" keyboard after spill?

My friend accidentally spilled some coke onto some part of the keyboard, and as you know the keys get sticky. We were just wondering how to clean the keyboard, and if we go to the apple store, how much would it cost? Thanks

If the machine is dead because of it, or not working correctly, then perhaps a paid for keyboard replacement might fix it, but later on if the soda reached the logicboard it will do damage through corrosion.

If it's a very little bit, then just clean the surface of the keys with a damp (but not dripping wet) cloth and try to live with as long as you can.

If the machine is working, copy your files off to a external drive right away using the emergency quick copy method here

If the soda got underneath the keys where you can't clean it, your AppleCare/warranty is now invalid as user inflicted damage.

It's been our experience that it's simply not worth fixing after a liquid spill, if the machine works then use it until it dies, then sell it for parts.
