Flaw with finish around keyboard

I have had my Macbook Pro for a few months now, and I absolutely love it. It's beautiful... until now. There is a small blemish at the bottom of my keyboard, below the space and apple key, as though the finish is peeling off. Is there anything I can do to get it fixed? I know it sounds trivial and I probably sound like a dick, but I did pay 2000 dollars for this laptop, and I really would like to have it looking nice for years to come. Thanks, and btw, is their anyone else who has noticed this?

Here is a pic of what I'm talking about. Thanks again.

Count me too!
exactly the same, paint was darker and I just hit it with my nail and now I have a shiny spot getting bigger.
I have the impression the paint gets softer with sweat becouse the dark area is where I often keep the fingers, next to it the paint is hard like aluminium.
can someone explain how to press the service guy to change it? I also have half trackpad button not working, so I hope they'll change all the top cover.

the trackpad button is one piece with teh top case, it therefor the entire top casing woudl be swapped (exactly what mien is goign in for, 'sticky' button if you will). I also have pealign under my option key, the guy at apple made note to mention it and said it woudl msot liekly be replaced since its goign in for legitimate repaird. however, is is the 3rd time it's going in for a samerelatedproblem (2 lbs repalces, and now 2rd because hte fans act up when i wake form sleep) would most likely result in a replacement.

Good luck

Hi guys.
I have my MBP since March, and I had the same problem with the paint on that area below the keyboard (where the thumbs rest, basically). However, I'm a heavy user of this computer and that wear was becaming bigger and uglyer.

So I basically took all the paint OFF from that piece below the keyboard.
The difference is that it looks a bit shinier than the original painted alloy.
I used some Qtips with nail paint remover (I dont know the name, but your girlfriend should have it too) and be really careful. Voilá.

Not the best solution for a $3K computer, but my MBP is gorgeous again.
(AKA DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT APPLE!!)
Cheers!
