ordered it about 9pm on the 18th my est date is the 30th

any details on how long it takes to get from suzhou to south wales in the uk?

I am so sad, mine arrived today.

Despite my chronic tooth ache, I got it out, wow does the black look sexy or what!

Opened up, big globule of paint on the right wrist rest.

Five to seven days wait again for build, then got to go through all this again.

Sympathy please.

I will try and take a pic later, but just to clarify (I was probably over-reacting slightly).

It is by no means big. It is on the corner of the machines top surface. It is like a blob or overspray, that sticks up in a small lump about 0.5mm high. Difficult to photograph, but I will give it a go.

Sorry to hear that, huge disappointment after waiting for it to arrive.

Am I being stupid here, but why do they need to paint them? Why don't they just make them out of black plastic? Are the white ones painted - I hope not because that's what I've ordered.

The black ones are a combination of black plastic and powder coated metal/plastic. This is common nowadays.

The white is epoxy coated (I think) and white plastic, so would not be as susceptible to finishing defects.

I also have a white one on order (don't ask why I ordered two) so will let you know how it is (due tomorrow).

I may well cancel my black replacement if it turns out good.

My only cavaet is that the black was super sexy.

Ooooh should mention, black showed finger prints (loads) on the track pad, but the casing had that cool feel and did not show marks.

I have had some very bad experiences with TNT and Sony recently.

I called Sony the other day to request a replacement PSP (Square button stuck) and when I got through I was speaking to a woman - but in the background I could hear a guy asking if she wanted her feet rubbed. He continued on with his conversation in the backgound whilst i was speaking. I dont know if he was speaking with the woman I was talking to or with a different woman. Whatever it is, I dont expect that when I call.

Also, I called TNT and after saying 'hello?' 'hello?' for about 10 seconds the woman finally piped up and answered me. She was very rude and her service SUCKED.

I think some delivery services are going downhill. They are pathetic in my experience. APART from UPS. UPS RULE. They are by far the best. Some carriers dont even wear uniforms!

How can you give TNT 10/10???

I guess it's just what the individual experience is. It just so happens that my experience with TNT is shocking.

My 10/10 is based on personal experience.

I have a very helpful contact at my local depot, she always helps when expecting a delivery, even tells the driver to leave it next door if I am out.

Also, never have a damaged box from them.

Whereas Citylink, well they have delivered me many damaged boxes over the years. One was completely open, they had not even sealed it with parcel tape. When I commented, I was told it was not their problem. :-o

Hi Mohamed, yep — just checked, I think we were om the same plane.

I noticed from the McBurger's post that it took his MB 1 day from Arnhem to Switzerland, where I am. So I guess we'll be playing with our MBs tomorrow 🙂

When did your order start showing the "Pudong delay" thingy? immediately or after a few days?

Mine has been stuck in "Suzhou Shipped from originating depot" since may 27th 1am... and nothing has been added since.. and it's almost 9pm in China now 😟
