I am creating a reusme and cover letter and the file size is HUGE. They do not have any picutre it is just simple text. I need to get the file to be under 100kb so I can upload it the application websites.
Any help would be great.

Will you uplad it as a Pages file?
The resume is 2 pages
The cover letter is one page
I will need to save it as a PDF to upload it.
Is it 2 documents?
Try copying the content and past int a nes blan template. save and se e if the size has chagned.

Here's a benchmark that might give you some direction:
These are three files with the same content, 248 words, in a test document. You see the sizes for the Pages document, the PDF of that same Pages document and a TextEdit version of the document.

Thanks. I called Apple Support this afternoon. The guy was very helpful and exaplained what I needed to do. Sadly, there is no easy fix.
What I need to do is to save it as the Word doc and then go to a PC and fix any of the format errors. When I bought my Mac Book Pro I opted to not get the windows operating system....and because Apple uses a higher quality programing to create its documents the file size will be very large.
If I had to do it over again I would have gotten windows as well...oh well...hopefully soon websites will up their document size limits.
