Hi all, I'm having display issues like a soft yellow strip on top of the screen and multiple soft strips everywhere... After an AHT it appeared an error code (2ATI/1/4:115-xxxxx-117), I did a SMU reset but still don't understand if it is a capacitors issue or something else. I can disassemble the logic card by myself but I need to know which component need to be changed...

You could find useful my experience in easy steps based on advices and instructions of RCCharles.
It works, and it was not too risky, less than resoldering anyway...

Hi, now I can't do anything cause an extension is missing. I should restore by Terminal, but I'm not sure.
I made a permission repair and now I can watch my movies, the ATI file missing message isn't appeared but strips continue to survive. I'd like to emphasize that my issue isn't screen freezing or boot problems just look at my photo.
I'm still searching for a solution...

I need to verifiy if the issue involves the display, power connector, bad capacitors or logic board: if I connect the machine to a monitor with a cable mini-vga to s-video and the display works well, what does it mean?

Hi all! Finally I've replaced the MOB and works great! Trying to backup, some messages tell me that Time Machine doesn't recognize the new engine: I could delete old backups and restart a new one, but I'd like keep these files.
Could anyone help me to let TM work as before, using Terminal or s.e.?
