I have already done this. However when I open "Finder" at the top of the window it says my dads name, and I would lik to change it to my name instead? How can I do this?
Thanks Ollivia
Open the sharing pane in Systems preferences ... and change it there.
Top panel > computer name > edit.
I have already done this, however when i click on finder it still says my dads name next to the home icon in the top of the finder window.
Any help...its annoying me haha

People are trying to tell you how to change the Network name, but your issue is the name of the User folder. If your dad's name is John Smith, the file will be named johnsmith.
So, I think you need to change the Admin name to change that. Go to System Preferences>Users&Groups, and change the name of the Current User. In your case it would be Ollivia Lastname.
Actually, it's more complicated than that:

This is not something I would recommend unless you're a computer expert. My suggestion is to just create a new User in Preferences>Users&Groups. You'll have access to all the programs and everything, though files would have to be moved over to the new user.
If this is too much trouble, then you'll have to just live with the Home name.
Thank you very much for all the help!!
