keep history for at least a previous calendar year
My calendar entries disappear in a few months. I would like to keep the previous entries for at least 18 months. How do I do that?

My calendar entries for items stay forever. Calendar is not deleting these.
What are you using for the calendar server on the back end? Perhaps they're deleting the entries for old events?
I just started using icloud for all my devices. I checked "settings", I checked "icloud" I checked Itunes and I can't find a place that allows me to extend the history. I did find it on my phone and made the change, however I can't find it on my Imac.
Like I said, there ISN'T such a setting on the Mac. Events should stay forever (or until you delete them). On the iPhone, it only syncs events up to 1 month back (by default), but it's not removing them from the calendar.
Looking for a setting will get you nowhere. If you just started using iCloud, perhaps you didn't move over your old appointments?
Maybe this will help. If you monitor the "More Like This" box (top right), other threads appear. Opening them usually displays other threads.
