Where are the speaker vents and other questions ?

Looked at many pics of the new MacBook but cannot see where the speaker vents/holes are. Where are they ?

When MacBook put to sleep is there a visible pulsing white light led somewhere and if so where is it ?

Has anyone tried using the MacBook with an external display while MacBook screen/lid is closed ?

Can anyone report back how much of the internal HD in GBs is used when first booting up the MacBook ? That is, with just the Apple bundled software.

Has any actually used the MacBook GigE port with another Apple with GigE port to determine data rate between computers ?

Thanks.

The speaker vents are on the top left and right part of the laptop, it's basically pointing at the screen.

When it goes to sleep, there's a visible pulsating light that comes on by the Front Row remote sensor in front of the laptop.

I've used the Macbook lid closed with an external USB mouse and keyboard, Mini DVI to DVI connected to my Dell flat panel monitor and it's outstanding.

From what I remember, free space was down to like 32-35gb after first reboot (I have the White Macbook which comes with 60 gb hard drive). I have done an O/S Erase and install, now even after adding MS Office, PS7, Iwork, I still have a little bit over 40gb free space left.

I haven't done a direct Apple to Apple Gigabit unfortunately. 😟

Hope this helps.
