Domain Name of Network I am Working in

Hi all,

I am novice and i dont know this is proper way to ask this question

but i searched a lot and did not get any help.

I am doing an assignment in which i will show domain name in which

i am working i.e.Name of Domain Name Server.

Provide me some answer that can help me complete my assignment

and I'll gain some knowledge from that.

I have used setdomainname and getdomainname to do the job

but iwant to know where the domain name is stored and who sets it.

Is it administrator who sets domain name for our network?
