maps not showing directions in saudi arabia and india

Maps in Saudi Arabia it is not showing any direction even on highways, between city to city, I tried all the possible ways but it is not able to find any direction.
is that my phones problem or its a commom problem? has apple rectified this problem?

And how to change the default map from apple maps to google maps because i cant use foursqaure coz it opening only apple maps,is there any way to change default maps to google maps ?
