Is my iphone officially unlocked?

Hey, my iphone 4 was locked to vodafone and i unlocked it at a high road shop. I had to give them my imei number and i got to keep the iphone 4. After 1 week, i had to plug in my iphone into Itunes and i got a message saying 'Congratulations Your Iphone Is Now Unlocked'. I suppose this isnt a jailbreak unlock as it was cleary confirmed by itunes and i got to keep the phone. My question is- is this an official unlock? If i get my iphone Replaced at apple will they give my an unlocked phone?

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.1

OK, but next time, have a bit of patience and wait longer for replies. Waiting less than twenty minutes from the first time you posted to the second time you asked is a bit rude. Keep in mind that no one gets paid to help here. Everyone is just a fellow user, so it may take a while before someone sees your question who has the appropriate knowledge and the inclination to reply.

If you post and don't get a reply to your question after a couple of hours or more, reply to your own original question with either more details about the problem, if the original question seems lacking (that you went to a Vodafone shop was important information that you didn't provide in your original post) or a "bump" message so that the thread comes up higher in the list. There should be no need to repost the question unless it's not in the most appropriate forum.
