Battery replacement

I have a 2010 mbp with mountain lion and it has just reached over 1000 charge cycles (1055), and is now telling me to replace. I get around 4 hours battery on this, says around 79% but as it is still under warrenty will I get a free replacement? Also I accidentily caught my charger tip in the door and that severed the tip from the cable, would I be able to get that replaced or is stupidity not covered?

Thanks.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Not likely. The battery is concidered a consumable and you have consumed it with 1000 cycles. Actually about the only time Apple replaces the battery is if it is found to be defective with the first year of purchase. After that the Applecare warranty doesn't cover consumable item. Even in the first year if you were to have multiple hundreds of cycles they may not change it for free. But certainly not after you have Used it a thousand times +.
