Why does my Mac not support Windows 8 after the 10.8.3 update.

Hello community,

Today i was very exited to finally get my hands on the new 10.8.3 update und finally install Windows 8. But in the moment my Mac downloaded the support software (Drivers and Stuff), i got the message "Your mac only supports windows 7". First i tought my Macbook Pro might be to old (Mid2010). But it isn't. But the FAQ on Boot Camp 5.0 and Windows 8 are saying something different. here is the Link

It would be very cool if someone could tell me the reason why it's not working or how i get it to work. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. And sorry for the bad english.

Perhaps Apple might specify 7 and 8 on the download page instead of only 7 then.

My 2012 15.4" MacBook Pro gets the same message, now my MacBook is the latest possible 15" from Apple, surely there's something wrong, looking through the info.plist there's no mention of my MacBook either, only a few older models.

Just install, the drivers that work on windows 7 will work on windows 8 too. I have a MB Pro mid 2010, got the same warning as you but just installed as usual.
