Can't delete files from trash even with force or secure methods
Hi everyone,
I have an issue deleting certain files in my trash.
Once I do an "Emty Trash", my Os informs me that thoses files are in use.
I tried the "secure empty trash" with no success.
I aslso tried to force the deletion of those files with the terminal using:
rm -rf * /Volumes/My\ Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware.txt /Volumes/My\ Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware2.txt
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------
rm: /Volumes/My Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware.txt/Windows 7.plist: Operation not permitted
rm: /Volumes/My Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware.txt: Directory not empty
rm: /Volumes/My Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware2.txt/Applications/Web Platform Installer — Windows 7.txt.txt.app/Contents/Resources/Japanese.lproj: Input/output error
rm: /Volumes/My Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware2.txt/Applications/Web Platform Installer — Windows 7.txt.txt.app/Contents/Resources: Directory not empty

zormachine:.Trash Zor$ rm -rf * /Volumes/My\ Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware.txt /Volumes/My\ Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware2.txt
I also tried to unlock possible files using:
chflags -R nouchg Volumes/My\ Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware.txt /Volumes/My\ Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware2.txt
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------
chflags: Volumes/My Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware.txt: No such file or directory

chflags: /Volumes/My Passport/.Trashes/501/vmware2.txt/Applications/Windows DVD Maker — Windows 7.app/Contents/Resources/zh-Hans.lproj: Input/output error
I checked and repaired possible disk permissions errors with the disk utility app.
I'm still stuck and Can't Delete thoses Files. Any Help please ??
