Unlocking an ipad

The iPad is not locked even though sold associated with a particular carrier. You can switch sim cards at will.

This is the iPhone forum so you better also ask the question in the iPad forum but I can tell you that I bought my iPads (AT T version) in the US Apple Store and I have used them with local prepaid Sim cards in at least three European countries (not Greece unfortunately) without any problem at all. I don't believe the iPad sold in the US is carrier locked. That is why buyers always pay full price. It would be better however if some more knowledgeable forum member could confirm what I said.
