Will the software of updated quickbooks 2013 work with a macbook?

No, if you are using Mac OS X 10.5.8. See this page on Intuit's system requirements.


You can get Lion (Mac OS X 10.7) or Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8) by first purchasing Snow Leopard from Apple, installing it and updating to 10.6.8, then using the Mac app store to download and install the OS you want. Be sure your MacBook meets the system requirements for the OS you choose and be sure that the upgrade will not break any of the other software you use before you do it.
