Need a way to permanently delete messages from iphone, even after syncing it with itunes it shows up in search history

Only by restoring your phone as a new device using iTunes, or Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You follow this by syncing your content back to the phone. Either that, or you live with it. The data will be overwritten as you use your phone.

Or, throw the phone into a blast furnace.

I have ever met the same situation as you said, I think you can try the same way.First, you need to open “setting” option and navigate it to “common” selection, and then slide to the bottom and click “restore”. Thank You it worked.... I sync'ed all my apps. Went to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings.

I made sure I had my phone plug into my computer and wa-la, no old messages poping up in my search bar.

My wife thought the blast furnace would be better since it was messages from old flames.....
