I am new to imac and I am having trouble trying to setup my wireless Canon Pixma MG8150. Its not being recgonised by my imc even though I have the wifi connected to the printer. Can anyone help? Do I need the Airport Express Base Station for this?

So you know the printer's IP address?
In System Preferences, click on Print and Scan. Click on the + to add a printer. Next window, click on IP, and enter the IP address in the first line.
When you add a printer in Print and Scan, the Mac shows a window like the image here.
Did you get that far? What happens if you click on IP?
When I click on defult there is no options of any printers avaiable. When I click on IP and enter the IP address its vaild but then when i try to print. Nothing happens.
I finally got it all working!! Thanks for all your help guys. 🙂 It took me long enough, just took awhile to find the right updated drivers on the canon website.
I did instoled software for HP printer, and Iclick add printer but I canot type in printer name
I have just had mine. You need to open system preferences/printers & scanners...
Box opens... your printer... click +
Box opens... select .... add
