iMessage not working since iOS 6.1.3

@diesel vdub Are your serious? What is the thread all about? It is regards not being able to send picture messages i.e. attachements! That is the problem. Phone (4s) has full wifi & 3G. All other services working fine.

Any ideas on what the issue is or what could be done to resolve it?

And at this point, you are the only user (at least the only one posting here) that is having problems. It is not an iMessage or iOS 6.1.3 issue.

It is an issue either with your device or your account.

Disable and re-enable iMessage.

Restart the device.

Restore the device.

Try basic troubleshooting in general.

I am having the same issue. People actually are getting my attachments even though it says not delivered. They should have it fixed in the next update

I have the problem. Using "basic troubleshooting" I can scr*w with imessage enough it starts working. Then it fails again in 1-5 hours. My wife's phone does not have the same issue. We're both on 4s/6.1.3.

So - summary - congrats yours works but it's not consistent and a problem exists.

Now is somebody going to tell me that since iMessage has been reliable "forever" I'm making this up? Some community this is!

I'm also in Indiana. Hearing someone else in Indiana has a simlar issue at least allows me to understand it's not just me. It was FINE unti 4/8/2013 for me. Just say'in.

Final observation - my 4s/AT&T/6.1.3 has the issue. My ipad 2/6.1.3 and MacBook Air 10.8.3 work fine.

Doesn't matter what WIFI, cellular, etc..

I'm having the same problem. (iPhone 4) updated to 6.1.3 2 days ago and between losing ALL my photos including camera roll and multiple restores to get them back, I'm still not able to send iMessages from my phone. iPad - no problem. iPhone - can receive but can't send. "Basic troubleshooting" carried out so far includes multiple resets, multiple restores. Nothing wrong with my 3G service or wifi connections.

Any suggestions?

Please note that Apple currently have a problem with iMessage. I would suspect this is why you are unable to send at this time.

Oh and of course selecting iMessage off and in etc.....

As I said, Apple have issues with iMessage (and Facetime) at the moment.

Ok. I'm guessing it must still be related to the update as my wife's phone has no such issues but is running an older iOS.

Maybe, but it does say, that only some users are affected.

Im on 6.1.3 and I am unable to send imessages at present, so i guessing I am some.

iMsg stopped working around 4 hours back ...

I visited multiple forums and tried the things... it started working but still I could iMsg one friend but not another, both having iPhones 4 and above... I had been struggling a lot on fixing and understanding whats happening but well this post helped me to relax that there is something wrong with apple services itself... Hope it gets fixed soon...

Hate to keep flogging a dead horse (or at least what appears to be a dead horse) but I am yet again unable to use iMessage. The status page indicates no problems. I have good 3G/wifi, iMessage selected on in options and have performed several restarts and resets all to no avail.

Feel like it was a hefty price to pay to get rid of the annoying 1 icon over settings for the latest iOS update.
