Installing Windows 7 - No Bootable Device

Hey guys,

im trying to install Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro Retina. I have created the bootable USB-Device with Bootcamp and an .iso file.
But when I want to install Windows 7 and Bootcamp is rebooting, after the reboot I always get the "No bootable device -- please insert boot Disc and Press Key"

So the MacBook doesn't regognize the USB-Device as Bootable, I have also tried to make the Bootable Device with Windwos but same here...The USB-Device is 2.0 can that be the error ? Do I need a 3.0 USB ?

Did you follow instructions similar to these when creating your Windows 7 Installation USB Drive?

Also it's a good idea to ensure that CD/DVD sharing is turned on < - System Preferences - Sharing> when the iso file is mounted on your system.

Okay the Problem was the USB-Drive, I tried another NoName-USB-Drive and it worked.

I created the Windows 7 Installation USB Drive with:http://www.chip.de/downloads/Windows-7-USB_DVD-Download-Tool_38589636.html

And then I followed the Bootcamp instructions.

So everyone who has the "No bootable device" Error, ask your friends and family for USB Sticks and try them. Good Luck to everyone! 🙂
